What will Happen

This introduction highlights what will happen during the 30 Day Journey.

Daily Prompts

In these 30 days, each day, you will receive a Daily Prompt of a task challenge via the Joys 30 WhatsApp Community.

You are invited to do one task a day. We recommend you to engage in the moment of doing the task fully and record your feelings after the task is completed on a physical journal or the mobile App

We designed in-person activities for participants to find deeper connection with each other. There will be a Joys 30 Orientation Day and Closing Celebration at the beginning and end of the program. We recommend participants to join them as best as they can.

We also designed in-person activities within the 30 day journey that are optional for you to join. These are activities curated to improve self-awareness and will be hosted during the weekends. These activities will incur a fee if you wish to join them. Please check out "In-Person Activities" section for more.

Four Simple Steps for 30 Days

Choose a daily activity. It's okay to miss a day—just start again tomorrow.

Pick One Task Daily

Choose one task from the ‘Challenge List' Menu, choose one activity that resonates the most, is the most accessible, or interesting on that particular day.

01

Engage In The Moment

Take action on the task, focus on the sensory experience and on noticing the moment. The intention is to be fully engaged in that small window of time.

02

Let It Go

After the task is done, acknowledge the moment has simply passed and return to your day, without over analyzing the experience too much.

03

Journaling

Keep a simple, private ‘Presence Journal’ with the 'Day One' App or use a physical journal to record your feelings and experience after each activity.

04

You’re welcome to share your experience to the ‘Joys 30 WhatsApp Community’ and build moments of connection with us.

Your journal can also contribute to a good cause! See 'Moments that Matter' for details.

Guiding Principles

This program isn’t about adding more tasks to your day. It’s about gently bringing moments of awareness into everyday life. The focus is on noticing, not achieving.

Curiosity Over Judgement

Approach each moment with gentle curiosity. There is no right or wrong way to experience it

Kindness to Yourself

It is ok to miss a day. There is no need to be perfect, just pick it up tomorrow

Small Moments Matter

Short, regular moments of mindfulness are more powerful and sustainable than big, occasional ones

Presence,  Not Perfection

The goal is to be present in the moment, not to do it perfectly

Keep a simple, private "Presence Journal

After each task, take a minute or two to jot down what you did, how you felt and what you appreciated.

Journaling is a tool for self-discovery, completely free from outside perception.

This action of "journaling" enables personal reflection, which help participants to keep track their own shifts in their self-awareness over time

You can use the "Day One" mobile app or the physical journal  (Tutorial for Day One app)

**If you would like to, you can inspire a larger community by sharing your journal with the organizer. The journal entry may be reposted anonymously to Joys 30 participants.

Share your experience with the Joys 30 Community

You are invited (but not required) to share your experiences with your fellow Joys 30 friends

This helps to build connection, without a huge commitment. It is a touchpoint to simply share and support each other through the 30-day journey together.

Simply join a Joys 30's chat group (and our in-person activities). Click here to join.

**To keep the Joys 30 chat groups a safe space for sharing, we require all participants to follow some ground rules.
